The lake freezes in December sometimes until mid May. Sport fish include Lake Trout, Mountain Whitefish, Lake Whitefish and Brown Trout.
Water level changes due to power generation does affect the recreational opportunities and biological productivity of the lake.
The lake has a surface size of 11.6 km2 and the average depth of the lake is 14.5 m with a maximum depth of 34 m.
