Castle Ashby Fisheries is a prestigious venue situated between Grendon and Castle Ashby Village. Made up of three lakes – Grendon Quarter Pond, Scotland Pond and The Brickyard Pond. 

The Lakes

Grendon Quarter Pond:

8 Acres with 60 Pegs

Day Tickets:

1 rod….£7 (£4 Concessions)

2 rods…£8 (£4.50 Concessions)

Evening Tickets……….£4 (£3 Concessions)

This Pond is renowned for its terrific head of carp, with catches up to 200lb of fish, with sizes ranging from 8oz to 18lb, with a few in the twenties.

Scotland Pond:

9 Acres (with islands) 40 Pegs

Day Tickets:

1 rod….£7 (£4 Concessions)

2 rods…£8 (£4.50 Concessions)

Evening Tickets……….£4 (£3 Concessions)

This Pond is prolific with all species of fish, and where the larger species can be found, with fish from 9lb to 19lb, with some carp topping 29lb.

Night fishing is allowed but ONLY on a LIMITED MEMBERSHIP BASIS with STRICT RULES AND REGULATIONS. Applications to be made in advance.

Brickyard Pond:

2 Acres with 26 Pegs (20 pegs if a match is on)

Day Tickets:

1 rod….£7 (£4 Concessions)

2 rods…£8 (£4.50 Concessions)

Evening Tickets……….£4 (£3 Concessions)

This super small club match venue contains a full variety of fish

Bream to 6lb – Tench to 5lb – Roach to 1.5lb – Crucians to 3lb – Rudd to 1lb+

Watch out! there are also double figure carp as well

Facilities

On site is Lodge Café where Doug is on hand Selling hot/cold food and drinks.

Breakfasts from as little as £3.50 inc tea/coffee

Sandwiches, snacks, drinks etc (can be brought to your peg)

Rules

  • Castle Ashby Fisheries

     RULES FOR ALL LAKES:

    1. No keepnets or sacks
    2. No boats including bait boats
    3. No fires
    4. No night fishing (Except Syndicate Member on Scotland Lake)
    5. Barbless hooks only, Maximum Size 8
    6. Un-hooking mats MUST be used
    7. Rubbish will not be tolerated, please take it home or use the bins supplied
    8. Maximum of 2 rods to be used at any one time, and not to be left unattended
    9. Excessive noise, abusive or foul language will not be tolerated
    10. All fish to be returned to the water alive

    NON COMPLIANCE WITH THESE RULES WILL RESULT IN A BAN FROM ALL FISHERY WATERS.

    OPEN MATCH RULES:

    1. Nets must be dipped between mid April to the end of October
    2. All fish under 2lb are to be kept in a separate net
    3. Fifteen 2lb Carp per net
    4. No balling of groundbait past 13 metres
    5. Barbless hooks no bigger than size 10 to be used
    6. No nuts, peas or beans to be used. Note boilies now allowed
    7. Anglers must not leave their rods in the water when leaving the peg
    8. Cars must not be moved during a match
