Experience the vast wilderness and first class salmon fishing of the majestic Lainio river, home to the mighty wild Baltic Salmon. 
 
Camp Onka was developed in 2013, as an eco camp deep within the forest overlooking the famous Onka home pool. 
Here we have exclusive double bank fishing on 7km of water split into 3 beats named Lipistökoski – Upper, Onka – Middle & Phatakoski – Lower. ​Each beat is qouted to six guests a day and our programme alternates between beats every day so guests can fish all 3 two times during their stay.

Fishing is accesible from both sides of the river via dirt tracks and foot paths through the forest.  We also have a traditional wooden rowing boat situated at the Onka home pool to quickly access both sides of the river during the fishing day. Included in our programme are three working ghillies who will guide and assist you on the water throughout your stay.
 
Average weight for fly caught salmon here is 15 lbs, while fish running into the 30-40+ lbs class are not uncommon. Be ready for an adventure hiking, wading and swinging flies in our vast picturesque waters.​
