This was once a great trout, salmon and char Lough but an accidental introduction of Pike in the 1830’s has decimated the stocks of those game fish.

Lough Allua is a great pike fishing Lough. Big pike are common here and fight incredibly hard. 

Dead baiting is a favoured method amongst the locals. Roach, Rudd and even sea baits such as Mackerel  and Smelt are proven winners.
