The country hotel Zlata ribica is located in the valley of the Idrijca river, in a small village Idrija pri Bači. The hotel is embedded between the river (30m), fields, pastures, and forest. 

Nature lovers will find a perfect place here, because it is an ideal starting point for various trips and sports activities. 

You can also treat yourself with a relaxing walk across our estate, listen to the soft rustle of the river, and relax your eyes on the water surface of the pond. 

Especially in the autumn time, you can taste the fruits of our old orchard.

The hotel Zlata ribica is located in the  western part of Slovenia, on the left bank of the river Idrijca, in the village  Idrija  pri Bači. The village is situated some 8km from Tolmin, the region’s administrative centre, or 3km from Most na Soči, where Idrijca flows into the river Soča.

On the left bank of the river Idrijca slopes of the Šentviška plateau sweep gently down to the village. On the left bank, where the hotel stands, the river has created lowlands and land for pastures and fields. Here, the river rests for awhile, after struggling though steep slopes of the Alpine mountains on one side and the Dinarides on the other. Towards the north and north-east the mountains extend to Julian Alps. The whole region of the Julian Alps is under the protection of the Triglav National Park.
